only batsman after sachin tendulkar

Virendra Sehwag lived up to fans expectations.  Hats Off to Veeru

Virendra Sehwag said “ I was telling Gambhir that if we are patient, we can get plenty runs here. The wicket was good, the outfield was fast and the boundaries were short. Genuine batting wicket, you just have to spend some time and carry on with the shots. I picked the gaps and when I hit sixes i keep the bat straight. Thanks to my family and friends. Our top order was not contributing and we needed starts. I never changed my style of play, I played my shots throughout, It was only after the batting powerplay started, I felt that I could reach double hundred. Also when Sammy dropped me (at 170), I knew that God was with me. I just wanted to stay till the 45th/ 46th over, I am 33 years now, I am an old man and my back is stiff, I will have an ice bath and try to get back on the field.”

double century in one day

6 Double Centuries and 2 Triple Centuries in his 72 Tests span like an extra ordinary achievement. He is the first Indian to hit 6 double centuries, Rahul Dravid having 5.

Sachin Tendulkar is in his best form of his carrier whether it is Test cricket, one-day or 20-20.

He is been consistent, aggressive, physically fit and most importantly his feet are down to the earth even though he is on cloud 9.

He has been improving his excellence every day; He is more aggressive, fierce now still playing classy shots.

He is been hitting Centuries, Fifties, Double centuries consistently in all form of games.

If you have observed his game nowadays, you might have noticed, many time he step out of crease, and if bowler try to make him fool by bowling bouncer or out of off stump, in that situation also he place the ball in gaps, that’s really awesome.

He runs in between the wickets like swift-running Cheetah, in his 40’s he is running like 20 year aged runner.

The way he fielding and diving on field like Leopard, If you remember how Sachin Tendulkar dived full-stretch to prevent the boundary in last over of first one day versus South Africa (February 21, 2010), Indian own that match by 1 run. IPL 3 – Kamal Catch award won by Sachin Tendulkar versus Deccan Chargers.

He is not only role model to follow, to get inspiration but he is a Perfect Epitome Role Model. Currently he is the Perfect Role Model for every generation. I am using word “Perfect Role Model” because he is having all the best qualities, abilities together; he is real gem and so epitome. As he reached the mile-stone he took the helmet off and looked upwards, and prayed..

“When I looked up, I had two thoughts in my mind. First I thanked the almighty for all he has given to me. Then I thanked my father. Today I miss him. Definitely he would have been a proud man today,” Tendulkar said.

Sachin’s comment on his 19 years journey.

“It has been a fantastic journey and I’ve enjoyed it. It’s not only about success, there have been ups and downs, various challenged. Success is a process. During that journey sometimes there are stones thrown at you and you convert them to milestones. It’s a great feeling to overcome the obstacles with great support from my family, well-wishers and everyone around. Everyone wants me to do well,”

Asked by an Australian journalist if he thought Ricky Ponting would better the mark he set, Tendulkar said, “All records are meant to be broken, so we need to see what happens in future. Talk about today and I’m quite pleased it came my way. Don’t know about future. I was 16-year-old and had no target, maybe there is another 16-year-old who won’t be having any target and who knows where he’s going to go?”

And following is the Best shot he played against critics.

“I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. I have been around for 19 years and all those 19 years I did not play to prove anything to anyone, not in my first year not in the 10th, 15th or 19th year,”

Hats Off to Sachin Tendulkar.

Is Sachin Tendulkar again victim of wrong descision?

Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf given Sachin leg before to Brett Lee, that decision raised many eyebrows as the ball struck the batsman above his knee roll on a bouncy pitch and on middle and leg stumps.
